HEEHAW CREW, in the past 24 hours...

  • Jean Fenton has been named a FULL MONTHLY SPONSOR

  • The Delph Family has stepped up to donating at FULL MONTHLY SPONSOR level

  • AND EARTHCARE MANAGEMENT  has joined the ranks of our CORPORATE SPONSORS!

EXCITED does not even cover it!
Big HeeHaw Welcome & Thank you -
To our newest corporate sponsor - KROGER

KROGER will be sponsoring all the needed items for our fundraiser BBQ!!!

THANK YOU KROGER!
THANK YOU SEEMS TO BE A WORD WE'VE BEEN USING A LOT LATELY...
A LOT OF CHANGES - AND GOOD ONES AT THAT!

In the span of 1 week we have had two of our monthly sponsors raise their sponsorship level to "Full monthly sponsors"!  Thank you Nicole Duwaerts for being the first, and a huge thank you to BJ Prather for following closely behind and fully sponsoring two of our babies!

We have secured corporate sponsorship from Kroger for our fundraiser and are working hard with Tractor Supply Company in Brenham to make them a corporate sponsor as well!

Also we would like to give a heart felt thank you to Caroline Duwaerts, Nicole's daughter, for all the work she has done in the shadows on updating our website (all the changes you see are hers), keeping our Facebook fresh, putting together our monthly newsletter, starting our two fundraisers (T-shirt Booster + Bravelets), and most recently sponsoring the purchase of extra t-shirts for the fundraiser.

To say we are ecstatic is at this point an understatement!!!!

MESSAGE FROM THE RANCH'S CRITTERS - PLEASE READ!
We are starting a new safety program for all volunteers, regardless of how long you've been with us. We want to start everyone in the same place, no "grandfathering" in. This will be effective immediately.

  •  VOLUNTEER SAFETY COURSE I (Basic volunteer safety/orientation) will help us ensure that all volunteers handling horses and the horses themselves will be safe - $5 donation to cover costs of printing materials

Until you each receive your HeeHaw Safety Certification, you will not be able to participate in horse management.  Please note all CHILDREN LESS THAN 16 yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult.

PLEASE SEE THE CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR ALL CLASS OFFERINGS

You must attend one of these trainings to receive your certification. Both classes will start promptly on time. If you are unable to attend either training, we will offer a third training sometime in April before the fundraiser.

You will receive a handbook and certificate of completion.

Each individual will be able to physically and mentally demonstrate proper horse handling techniques after the training. We will demonstrate and walk you each through all the components and you will each be individually tested.

TOPICS: safety in pasture, catching, properly latching gates, proper haltering technique, grooming techniques, identification of basic horse body parts, and routine ranch chore expectations.

We will also be implementing a "three strikes" safety policy that will remove you from handling the horses until you have retaken the course. Please understand that we strongly feel that safety is first at all times.

Rules at the Ranch are to be followed at all times in order for all of us to have a positive experience.

We are also planning a  second course - VOLUNTEER SAFETY COURSE II (RIDING) for those of you interested in riding any of the horses here at the Ranch. This new HeeHaw Rider Safety Program will be 4-6 weeks with a $150 donation fee. Anyone interested must first pass the Volunteer Safety Course then you will be allowed to sign up for the Rider Course. The goal of this program is to have qualified, safe riders help us condition the horses.

**Participation as volunteer and/or rider is a privilege and may be revoked at either director's discretion (Charlie Renken or Gwen Murphy).

Please shoot us an email to confirm your participation in the safety program and the date you will be attending.
Thank you for all that you do and for helping us make the Ranch an even better, safer place for all of us...critter and human alike!

Be blessed to be a blessing
